The Association of Exchange and Development of Activities & Partnerships, Inc. (AEDAP®) — originally Association Et Encadrement Pour Le Developpement De L'Arrière Pays — founded in February 1982 by Jean Th. Lindor.
For more than four decades, AEDAP has built bridges between the Haitian-American community in Miami-Dade County and partners across Haiti — supporting emergency response, educational outreach, cultural programming, and health initiatives for the people who need them most.
Founded by Jean Th. Lindor in February 1982, the organization originally bore the French-Creole name Association Et Encadrement Pour Le Developpement De L'Arrière Pays — loosely, "Association for the Development of the Hinterlands."
Today AEDAP is led by Dr. Marie Flore Lindor-Latortue, who continues her father's vision of partnership-driven community development in both countries.

Creating lasting memories for children and their families — offering hope and happiness during the holidays. When you adopt a family, you meet immediate needs and build a sense of community support.
A two-day May event bringing the richness of Haitian art, music, and culture to a broader audience — solidifying AEDAP's role in promoting cultural identity and pride while celebrating heritage with the Asian Pacific community.
Designed in partnership with churches and local clinics. Lecture series and activities empower seniors to improve their lifestyle. Weekly fresh produce distribution at senior residential sites and a special Thanksgiving celebration.
Since 2007, AEDAP's Toys Drive has targeted children of battered women and children in local churches. Regardless of the history each child carries, every child deserves a toy.
Helping women 18 to 70 in rural Haiti (our oldest member is 70). Training in micro-development — starting a sales business, crafting, agricultural stocks — building economic independence.
For children 6 to 18. Core values of peering, mentoring, abstinence, civic engagement, community service hours, the Toys Drive, and media exposure — building the leaders Miami-Dade and Haiti need next.
A setting welcoming all parents regardless of age, religion, or background to engage during summer and year-long sessions. Parents share challenges, cultural tips, and learn from one another while supporting AEDAP's young leaders.
